My wedding invitation

Planning my own wedding, I now understand the stress that goes into that one day! Ive decided to do alot of my wedding myself as I want something really different and so when it came time to design our invitation I decided I wanted to do something that I had never seen before. When doing research I found awesome pictures of old postcards and it gave me an idea. I thought I would share my invite with you and maybe it will inspire you to think outside the box. Mark and Sarah - Jane's Engagement Shoot

Engagements shoots have only recently started to become popular in South Africa, and its such an awesome way of getting to know your photographer. Mark and SJ also used these pictures on all their stationary at their wedding which gave a really personal touch. You get really relaxed pictures because there is no time limit or wedding day stress to contend with.

Claire and Peter's midlands wedding

These photos are from a wedding we shot in Providence earlier thie year. It's a fantastic venue in the Midlands and has great locations for wedding shoots. Claire and Peter were a really relaxed couple and so easy to work with, we had alot of fun.

Shaun and Alex wedding in St Francis

Shelley and Leon's Big Day

In February this year a friend of mine got married at the Umhlali Country Club. In typical February fashion it was a ridiculously hot day, but we all had an awesome time and I got some really good shots of Shellz, she looked so beautiful.

My First Post

I never realised that writing a blog could be so scary in a way. This is all so new to me and hopefully I will get better in time but for now I'm just getting used to the writing process. In this blog I not only want to showcase some of my work but I also want to search out different kinds of photography and find new ideas from around the world. Hopefully I can inspire people to be different and view photography and life from a different angle. So in saying that I was looking on my favourite blog, Greenweddingshoes.com and saw these pictures which I fell in love with! These photos are by Carl Bengtsson a Swedish (I think?) photographer who's work is awesome! I love the soft, feminine dresses against the harsh grunge background. Its really inspired me for my next project, now all I need is some models!
